Dr Nicolas Faysse joins AIT
Dr. Nicolas Faysse has joined the School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) as Visiting Associate Professor.
Dr. Nicolas received his Bachelor’s degree from École polytechnique with specialization in Physics and Biology, and his Master’s degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from Ecole Nationale de Genie Rural, des Eaux et Forets, French Institute of Forestry. He completed his doctorate in Economics from the University of Paris X Nanterre, France.
He was a Post-Doctoral fellow at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in South Africa. He works as a Researcher in Water Management Research Unit (CIRAD), and he has also served at the National College of Agriculture at Meknes, Morocco.
Dr. Faysse is seconded to AIT by the Centre de Cooperation Internationale en Recherche Agronomique pour le Development (CIRAD). He joined AIT from 1 September 2015 and shall serve for a term of two years.
His research interests are water resource management, rural development policies and development projects, and groundwater management. At AIT, he shall be associated with Natural Resources and Management (NRM), and Climate Change and Sustainable Development (CCSD) Field of Study.
